Australia 27-8 Georgia: Wallabies finish Rugby World Cup Pool D with victory

Australia completed their Rugby World Cup Pool D schedule on Friday, grinding out the triumph from conditions in Shizuoka.
Nic White notched the only attempt for the Wallabies using out-half Matt Toomua, beyond a Georgia campaign.
Marika Koroibete scored a stunning second-half attempt to provide Australia breathing space, but Georgia responded into the final 10 minutes as Alexander Todua sprinted up the left wing to score after a Lasha Khmaladze break.
Australia back-row Jack Dempsey rubber-stamped the success along with five minutes remaining, but when he scored off the back of a hard drive drive when he dived over in the last minute and Will Genia added gloss.
Australia will face England at the quarter-finals in Oita on Saturday, October 19 – with England with come off the back of a 14-day remainder with France on account of the unprecedented rescue of the Pool B clash on Saturday.
