Arsenal 4-0 Standard Liege: Gabriel Martinelli scores twice in rout

Gabriel Martinelli scored just two goals and set up another as a rotated Arsenal side turned to thrash Standard Liege 4-0 in their Europa League Group F assembly.
Teenager Martinelli, a #6m signing from Brazilian side Ituano during the summertime, opened the scoring with a great header after 13 minutes and then netted his second using a low, curling finish just three minutes later, which makes it four goals from two games after his double against Nottingham Forest at the Carabao Cup.
Joe Willock reach Arsenals third goal (22) following a shot from fellow academy graduate Reiss Nelson redirected into his path within the Standard Liege box, together with Dani Ceballos finishing the scoring in the second half, poking Martinellis deft cross over the line for his first goal for the club (57).
Unai Emerys side overlooked a series of chances to extend their lead in the final stages, but the success is another step towards the Europa League knockout stages subsequent to the 3-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening group match.
