MMAOddsBreaker.com can now officially confirm UFC Heavyweight Stipe Miocic has been forced out of his upcoming UFC Fight Night 76 bout against Ben Rothwell because of an unspecified training accident. Both top 10 fighters were scheduled to throw in the co-main event of next Saturday’s (October 24, 2015) event in Dublin, Ireland, which will be headlined by the lightweight conflict involving Joseph Duffy and Dustin Poirier and will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass. Miocic (#3 ranked HW) was coming off the most impressive performance of his career, a fifth round TKO stoppage of former title challenger Mark Hunt where he place a UFC heavyweight record for most strikes landed in a single struggle. He’s won four of his last five fights with his only loss being a competitive decision against former winner Junior dos Santos. Rothwell (#7 ranked HW) is now riding a three-fight win series which comprised surprising first round angry stoppage successes over the Matt Mitrione and Alistair Overeem. There has been no word yet regarding if Rothwell is going to be forced off the battle card or whether or not UFC matchmakers are going to have the ability to get a last minute replacement.
