Brian Lohan in mix for Clare senior hurling job

Former Clare full-back Brian Lohan has been connected with carrying over the senior hurlers of the county.
Following joint-manager Gerry OConnors departure, it has remained uncertain when theyll look elsewhere, or whether the county board will decide to stick together with Donal Moloney.
According to the Clare Champion of Thursday , winner Lohan has voiced an interest in the function.
Lohan has enjoyed success on the sideline with all University of Limerick in the past few decades , winning the Fitzgibbon Cup in 2015.
When asked in May when the Clare job would be of interest to him, he said he wouldnt consider it using the present government set up:I havent really thought about itwith the current county board
According to accounts, the Wolfe Tones clubman is in the frame to take responsibility for the hurlers of the county .
The Banner will have a tricky schedule following summer, opening away to All-Ireland champions Tipperary in Thurles, prior to hosting Limerick, travelling before eventually welcoming Waterford.
