Carlo Ancelotti angered by Napoli changing rooms ahead of Liverpool Champions League game

Napoli director Carlo Ancelotti has struck out at the state of their dressing rooms prior to the Champions League Group E opener from Liverpool, five times following a summer of renovation work at the San Paolo Stadium.
The Serie A club, who finished runners-up behind Juventus in Italy’s top flight last season, played with their first two league games of this effort against Fiorentina and Juve whilst work on the stadium was continuing.
Napoli sponsor Sampdoria on Saturday, while Champions League holders Liverpool travel to Naples on September 17.
“I’ve seen the state of the dressing rooms in the San Paolo. There are no words,” Ancelotti said in an declaration.
“I approved the club’s request to perform with the first two matches away from house to allow the job to be finished, as has been guaranteed.
“You can create a home in two months, however they weren’t effective at renovating the dressing rooms! Exactly where are we supposed to get changed for the games against Liverpool and Sampdoria?
“I am shocked at the incompetence of the folks in charge of the job.
“How can the Region, Municipality and Commissioners fail to respect the commitments that were made? It smacks of disregard and a scarcity of a bond with all the town’s team. I’m dismayed.”
Footage published on the twitter account of Napoli reveals there’s extensive construction work to be completed within the dressing rooms, using their clash with Liverpool just five days off.
The works, namely changing room enhancements and surveillance at the San Paolo, were supposed to be finished by the middle of September.
Liverpool will begin their European title following their win against Tottenham’s defence at Madrid on June 1, when they travel to Italy.
