Henrikh Mkhitaryan says unhappiness led to his loan move away from Arsenal

Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he had to abandon Arsenal to”enjoy playing soccer again”, as he joined Roma on loan .
He joined the Gunners in Manchester United at 2018, and scored just eight goals in 39 league matches.
The Armenian, who scored two goals on Sunday in his country’s European Qualifier triumph over Bosnia, felt he needed to leave England to re-find his passion for football.
He said:”I have to enjoy playing soccer, whatever the place. Back in England, I felt happy.
“I’ve got a call from my broker and I wished to come, because it was a fantastic opportunity for me. I didn’t even have a discussion with my broker about cash.
“Perhaps I wasn’t fitting well in English football, so I think that a change was good.”
The winger signed for Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund, before joining Arsenal in a swap deal with Alexis Sanchez who has made the change linking Inter Milan on loan.
Mkhitaryan says that he wants to focus on his new challenge in Italy.
He said:”The previous month in Arsenal I was not happy, so that is why I stated it was better to return into Roma and to get happy and to receive the pleasure from playing soccer again.
“Today I am in Rome and I focus on these. As soccer is played here, this isn’t a step backward. I wished to change landscape and for me personally it’s an chance to be defeated.”
