Arsenal midfielder Joe Willock has been given a new”long-term” contract after an impressive start to the year for the Premier League club.
The 20-year-old started all the opening three Premier League games this effort of Arsenal, taking his entire appearances for the team to 20.
Arsenal head trainer Unai Emery has shown a willingness to give chances to the academy products of the club, and Willock looks set to continue to profit from that approach.
“Joe has improved a good deal in the last calendar year,” Emery said.
“He’s technically strong and has demonstrated the confidence to take responsibility and play with his match whatever the event or opposition.
“I’m excited about working with to help him grow further and match his potential.”
