Laois set to appoint former Kerry star Mike Quirke as new football manager

Former Kerry star Mike Quirke is set to become the new manager of the Laois senior footballers.
Laois Today are currently reporting that the four-time All-Ireland winner is set to become the next Kerry native to carry the reins at a Leinster county ahead of 2020, after Jack O’Connor and Paul Galvin took the Kildare and Wexford endeavors.
Quirke will take more than John Sugrue, who oversaw promotions . Sugrue also directed the side to round four of the qualifiers in championships.
Quirke becomes the Kerry person to direct the O’Moore County Lately, following Tom??s ?? Flatharta, Liam Kearns, Mick O’Dwyer and Sugrue.
Even the Kerins O’Rahilly’s club guy will be planning to continue the progress made in recent seasons, as they look to consolidate their Division 2 standing in 2020.
