NFL, NFLPA to meet July 17-19 to negotiate new CBA

NFLPA and the NFL continue to attempt to hammer out a new collective bargaining agreement before the 2019 season.
Sides will reconvene to work toward a new CBA, NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo documented.

ESPN reported the news.
The three-day summit will be the first time sides have negotiated to hammer out the harder issues. Sides have met thrice earlier this offseason.
NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported in May that talks have been described as”cordial” and”amicable” by multiple sources in the first stages. If things become controversial during the July meetings, we’ll see.
The CBA, signed in 2011, is set to expire following the 2020 effort. The sides are hoping to get a jump start on issues before that deadline gets shut.
