Premier League: Marcos Silva, Unai Emery and Manuel Pellegrini under pressure

Under-pressure Everton director Marco Silva needs to beput out of the misery, claims former England striker Chris Sutton.
Ex-Hull City and Watford boss Silva is struggling to save his job by fighting Norwich City on Saturday, after his side fell.
Speaking on Radio 5 Live, Sutton stated:Under Silva, Everton are in a race to the bottom, not the best.
He added:There has been no progress under him.
Silva is not the only manager in danger, together with the Manuel Pellegrini of West Ham and Arsenals Unai Emery also coming under increasing scrutiny. The trio are the top 3 favourites for the sack one of bookmakers.
Form: A defeat at Goodison Park on the weekend renders more than a third of the season to Silvas side and four points above the relegation places. The Toffees, who finished eighth have dropped six of their last nine league matches and kept you clean sheet.
Fixtures: Everton now face a series of fixtures as before confronting leaders Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Leicester at the quarter-final of the League Cup, and Arsenal before Christmas, they visit high-flying Leicester City on Sunday.
The odds: Silva is currently the favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked. Ex-Everton manager David Moyes is the favorite to replace him, ahead of Bournemouths Eddie Howe and also Manchester City assistant trainer Mikel Arteta – who also happens to be a Toffees participant.
Suttons verdict:Silva was brought into take Everton into the next level, a European place. Theres been no progress below him.
Hes had a lot of money to spend but its been such as working in quicksand. It is not going to get any better. The one thing he can not complain about is that hes had the money to spend, he has brought players hes had the time to mould his side.
It is the manner of the reduction at the weekend. It had been Sam Allardyce football – stuff that is distressed. I can comprehend the Everton fans that are saying we have had enough and should you continue we could really be in a relegation scrap.
The most popular stat: Since the start of last year, Everton have failed to win a Premier League match in which they have fallen behind.
Form: Arsenal extended their winless league run to five matches from Southampton on Saturday – . Since back-to-back successes at the start of the year, the Gunners have won just two of 11 league games and lie eight points adrift of the Champions League places. Their winless run in all competitions is their longest since 1998.
Fixtures sides Norwich, Brighton and West Ham provide opportunities for Emery to turn the tide, before winners Manchester City arrive in the Emirates on 15 December. Festive excursions to Everton and Bournemouth follow.
The chances: Emery, midway through his second season in charge, is currently second-favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job, after Silva. Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo is forward of Manchester City helper Arteta and former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri from the list of frontrunners to replace the Spaniard, while Rafael Benitez, that left Newcastle in the summer, along with former player Freddie Ljungberg are also believed to be in the running.
Suttons verdict:I really do fear for Unai Emery. 20 years, they handed Arsene Wenger. Emery probably wont receive 20 weeks in charge.
It is all unravelled. A team that was fighting, southampton, carved Arsenal open. I cannot see him lasting from the trunk of the. Its not going to get. Its only going to get worse. The knives arent out – . They have turned
On the access to former Tottenham director Mauricio Pochettino:I really dont find the huge issue with it. If Emery does go, then why dont you go after the most sought-after boss on the market. Arsenal need building again from the ground. Can Pochettino do that in Tottenham? Absolutely. Why not?
The damning stat: This can be Arsenals lowest points tally after 13 league games since the 1983-84 campaign.
Form: Despite trying a late fightback, West Ham suffered a third consecutive Premier League undo – a fifth in their last six – into their defeat in the weekend. Winless in the last seven from the Premier League, pellegrinis side, have taken just two points to sink to 16th in the standings.
Fixtures: The Hammers face five of the top eight together with Chelsea, Wolves and Arsenal up . Top two Liverpool and Leicester both see London Stadium before the end of 2019.
The chances: Pellegrini is not far behind Emery and Silva from the heads of the bookmakers. Former Newcastle manager Benitez and Bournemouth manager Howe are believed to lead the running with Charltons Lee Bowyer and former Brighton manager Chris Hughton also being cited.
Suttons verdict:Theyre in big trouble. They started the season but theyre a team so low on confidence.
The stat: since a run of four games under Slaven Bilic in September 2016 The Hammers have conceded three or more goals in three consecutive Premier League matches for the very first time.
