Richard Kilty to captain Great Britain at World Athletics Championships

Sprinter Richard Kilty has Hunted to Ruler Great Britain at the World Athletics Championships in Doha.

The European indoor 60m champion that is double a part of the 4x100m relay squad and is preparing for his fourth consecutive World Championships, which start next week.
Kilty said:”It feels unbelievable. It is almost always a huge honour to be a symbol of the group as captain feels fantastic, but to be chosen.
“It will certainly go down as a distinctive moment in my athletics career. The group is gifted with many star athletes.
“A whole lot of the athletes in the group have leadership abilities and might do an amazing job at becoming captain. This makes it extra special that my athletes have selected me .
“I’ve got a fantastic story to tell and that I shall try my best to inspire the group every moment from my group speech and also on a daily basis over the duration of the bible.”
Kilty, 30, won Western gold and will be a reigning Commonwealth champion in the event.
He also won the 200m at the European Team Championships last month, coming in 0.05 moments of his personal best of 20.34secs set in 2013.
Team Leader Neil Black stated:”Richard is having a fantastic year, running as fast as he ever gets.
“Richard is an inspiration to his team-mates on the trail and so many off it as well, particularly during his work with young men and women, especially at his home on Teesside.
“it’s not surprising that his peers have voted him captain of the British team to Doha and I am excited about seeing Richard adopt the roles and duties of being captain from right through the end of the screenplay.”
