Rudi Gutendorf: World record-holding manager dies aged 93

Manager Rudi Gutendorf, who holds a Guinness World Record for training 55 teams in 32 countries across five continents, has died aged 93.
Gutendorf’s managerial career spanned half a century, for example time in teams from his native Germany and 18 nationwide sides that included China, Australia and Fiji.
‘Restless Rudi’ took his first management function from the 1950s with Korean unwanted Blue Stars Zurich, while his job in direction was with Samoa in 2003.
German FA vice-president, Dr Rainer Koch, called him an”outstanding ambassador of German soccer”.
“We shed in him a person who has enriched us through his huge soul and soul daily,” his family said.
