Review of”Astroball”

The ideal way is to read baseball publications, Since the baseball season heads into the break. I began with this highly-rated publication on the Houston Astros and their approach that required world champions them. Here is my review of”Astroball”

Review:
Baseball is well to a new era where statistical information is examined and used for just about any decision a team makes, from which players to draft to in which to put those gamers on the diamond when a batter steps into the box. While the concept started in the early 2000’s using”Moneyball”, the groundbreaking book by Michael Lewis concerning the Oakland Athletics using this strategy, the Houston Astros dug deeper to statistical analysis and their work paid off with a World Series championship in 2017. How they got there is that the narrative of the excellent book by Sports Illustrated writer Ben Reiter.
It’s very important to be aware that Reiter is a Sports Illustrated writer because he wrote a cover story to the magazine in 2014 predicting the Astros would be the 2017 champions. Since the Astros suffered through their third consecutive season of over a hundred losses, it seemed outlandish at the time. On the other hand, the brain trust of general director Scott Luhnow and rocket-scientist-turned-baseball-analyst Sig Mejdal found that their strategy implemented starting in 2011 was already starting to take shape.
