
Throughout the fall of each school year, I travel…a lot. We wake up early, catch flights across the national nation, and search the Hertz parking great deal for rental cars with back-up cameras. During this time around, I’m hardly ever at my desk, I’m meeting a lot of awesome pupils, and learning about the cool and exciting things students are doing. But when i am not on an airplane or at the car that is rental, right here’s just what I’m probably doing…
- Interviews and Receptions and tall School visits
Check your senior school’s hallways for our visit posters. If our company is coming to your college over the next little while you should see our poster outside your counseling workplace. We will additionally be Discover that is doing USC on campus and through the entire United States and abroad.
- Hoarding Pens
If there was something you should bring with that you school that is high, it’s a pen. We will provide you with something to write in, but we do not present something to compose with. We give some pretty information that is useful these visits, so it’s generally helpful to jot down a few notes. Last week I visited schools in southern Virginia. I started the week with about ten pens that are extra ended with two.
- Answering questions
We spend a lot of time questions that are answering we travel (and really through the entire 12 months.) But, whenever we are on your way, this is our central mission. We attempt to respond to all of this question you have while we are in your town. SO, the piece that is best of advice I can give you is ASK YOUR QUESTIONS. It’s also simpler to answer questions whenever we are standing in front of you then to later email us.
- Sitting in my own car
We sit within my car…a lot… Sometimes it feels than I do in the actual high school like I spend more time in my car. Often I’ll check Facebook (I’m old) or Snapchat, and make some funny updates with the brand new filters (recently the bunny is my favorite.) Inevitably I wind up sitting in my car much longer than I should as I’m (still) playing Hamilton and trying out my best (browse worst) rap abilities. That reminds me! - Consuming local but drinking Starbucks
Have any good restaurant recommendations that aren’t Chipotle? Send them our way! We love to explore cities and discover about where you reside. Understanding where you come from, helps us understand the application. We need to get a feel for your community and experience what you encounter on a basis that is daily. We tried a fantastic place that is greek week that was in a totally random location…thanks Yelp!
