Manchester City have now commissioned a sculpture of captain Vincent Kompany to be set up out the Etihad Stadium.
Even the Premier League champions have also renamed a street in their practice complex after the Belgian defender.
The road connecting the center along with the club’s academy pitches was renamed’Vincent Kompany Crescent’, and comes with a mosaic motivated by his goal against Manchester United in 2012.
Manchester City declared the plans in the Etihad to honour Kompany on the same day because his testimonial, live on Sky Sports Premier League.
“It is an extraordinary honor to be recognised by this distinctive club in this manner,” explained Kompany, who made 360 looks for City.
“The journey that we went together during my 11 years in Manchester altered my entire life and I am delighted to have played my small role in altering the course of the club’s history during that time.”
City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak included:”Vincent is a exceptional figure in the history of Manchester City Football Club.
“He isn’t only an inspirational and resolute leader in the pitch, however, an impeccable and pitiful ambassador off it.
“His participation is going to likely be remembered for generations to come, by supporters of our club and the wider football community who rightly recognise Vincent among the iconic Premier League characters of his generation.”
