UTEP vs. Texas Tech Pick – NCAAF Week 2

The UTEP Miners stay following a 36-34 win over Houston Baptist this week in the state of Texas.

A team that have won the past two decades, just two matches, A win over Houston Baptist, isn’t the best of wins. It’s UTEP’s first win at home since November of 2016, in order that has been reason to celebrate for the Miners. It also gave soccer fans in El Paso something to take their minds.
Treyvon Hughes around the floor led UTEP. He also romped for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns on 6.3 yards per carry. The Houston Baptist handling was atrocious and wouldn’t have been able to slow down a top offense after viewing the tape. But, credit UTEP having not won a home game since 2016. To get the win, UTEP had to stop a drive by Houston Baptist deep in Miners’ territory. Until UTEP obtained a strip bag and turnover in the competition HBU were flirting with all all the zone.
The positive there is that UTEP got the win. On the reverse side, that could be the game the Miners win this season. Looking at their schedule, they’re likely going to be underdogs from the majority of their remaining games. They do not have the most difficult schedule, so it is not possible, although possible. At a minimum, UTEP should overcome against Rice in the final game of their regular season in El Paso.
Texas Tech got off to a hot start against Montana State. They had an FCS competition in Week 1, but were able to throttle them to get a 45-10 win. All passers were, I believe you are going to discover in 2019, Alan Bowman, led by Among the quarterback in Week 1 with 436 passing metres. He would have had more, but the Red Raiders gashed Montana State on the floor also with Armand Shyne. Shyne rushed for 125 yards onto a whopping 11.4 yards per carry. There was not enough time to allow the ball to go around for everyone. Head below to our free UTEP vs. Texas Tech pick.

Pundits in part due to Kliff Kingsbury’s passing are passing over texas Tech. Bear in mind, Kingsbury go to the NFL and didn’t resign from Texas Tech, he was fired from his job as head coach at Texas Tech. That is frequently lost in translation. Kingsbury had a phobia to playing defense, and his firing was a direct outcome of not fielding a competitive shield.
Matt Wells, who had been from accepting Utah State from a nobody to a title, responsible, will highlight defense. Utah State were famous because of their underrated shield, and he is likely going to turn Texas Tech into a defense that was respectable .
Also, a Enormous blow to Kingsbury using the Red Raiders last year was the harm to Alan Bowman. After throwing darts bowman suffered a collapsed lung. After he left, Bowman had 17 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on 69.4percent completions in his very first season of college. The QB situation was rocky then for Texas Tech. Jett Duffey, who’s currently third on the depth chart, started games with mixed outcomes for the Red Raiders.
Wells has a healthful Bowman to utilize and nothing is being changed by him up with all the attacking strategy. The Red Raiders are moving as ever, getting off as many plays as they can potentially run. They ran a shocking 95 plays against Montana State in Week 1. Bowman is going to have the UTEP defense on edge, since the Miners have to go from 0 to 100 against one of the worst teams in the FCS to one of the fastest crimes in the FBS.
UTEP’s offense is going to be predictable with the option game involving runner Treyvon Hughes and QB Brandon Jones. Jones is not a lot of passer. He fought a FCS defense a week, converting only half of his moves. He rushed for 33 yards for a touchdown on the floor, but he isn’t a burner. Hughes is.
Kingsbury did not leave the cupboard empty for Wells. Their greatest strength is along with defensive line using Broderick Washington. He’s fast and strong and so is going to conquer the UTEP offensive lineup here. Expect lots of drama to go backward for the Miners within this one.
Texas Tech might not have a defense to compete with a crime like Oklahoma but this should be simple for them. The choice shouldn’t deceive the Red Raiders here. They can name the score in this match, if Texas Tech wish to. UTEP are a bottom 5 group from the FBS who aren’t by any means ready to compete with Texas Tech. 52-14 appears.
